About Ambrosia: Feast of Olympus
Ambrosia: Feast of Olympus is a free online idle clicker set in Greek myth. You tap the fountain of ambrosia to brew the food of the gods, hire nymphs, satyrs and smiths to brew it for you, and work through thirty story chapters to buy Persephone's freedom from Hades. It is a browser game with no download, no sign-up and no ads inside the game itself.
The Titans drained the Ambrosia Spring, so Olympus is fading from the top down and the mortal village of Hearthfall is going hungry. You are the last of Hestia's bakers. Every chapter of the story is a real gameplay goal — you cannot skip ahead by reading, you have to brew the ambrosia — and the mountain visibly changes as you go: the fountain fills, twelve votive lamps light around the plaza, and both the producers and the curses change act by act.
How to play Ambrosia
- Tap the fountain. Every tap brews ambrosia equal to your tap power. There is nothing to aim at; the whole fountain is the button.
- Ride the Overflow. Tap quickly and the Overflow meter under the stage fills. Past the line each tap is worth up to three times as much, and the pitch of the fountain rises with it.
- Spend it on builders. The Builders panel lists twelve producers, from the Hearth Ember to the Hourglass of Chronos. Each one brews ambrosia every second without you.
- Watch for Golden Ambrosia. A golden orb drifts across the stage every minute or two. Tap it before the thirteen-second ring runs out for a buff — or, one time in fourteen, for a Grey Hour that halves production instead.
- Buy the upgrades that match your numbers. Upgrades show their effect: producer doublers, tap multipliers, conduit bonuses and free taps per second.
- Finish the chapter. Reach the ambrosia goal to complete the chapter, earn up to three stars, and collect Divine Sparks that permanently boost every producer.
The twelve producers
Each tier brews dramatically more than the last and costs more, so the interesting decision is always how far down the ladder to save for. Cost rises 1.14× for every copy you already own, and the list is unlocked chapter by chapter as the story moves up the mountain and down into the earth.
| Producer | Brews | Chapters | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hearth Ember | the slowest, cheapest start | 1 | A single coal kept alive from Hestia's own hearth. |
| Olive Press | small and steady | 2 | Cold-pressed oil, the first thing the gods ask for. |
| Melissa's Beehive | about 5× the Olive Press | 4 | The bee-nymph Melissa carries ambrosia pollen home. |
| Goat of Amalthea | about 5× the beehive | 6 | The goat that nursed Zeus gives milk that never sours. |
| Nymph Forager | groves of gatherers | 10 | Grove nymphs gather wild nectar before dawn. |
| Satyr Vineyard | mid-game workhorse | 13 | Satyrs trample grapes into wine the gods will trade for. |
| Forge of Hephaestus | the first big jump | 17 | Every vessel for the feast is hammered out here. |
| Nectar Spring | the spring restored | 20 | The drowned spring of the gods, tapped and running. |
| Oracle of Delphi | prophetic volumes | 22 | The Pythia speaks the recipe; the recipe makes ambrosia. |
| Pegasus Caravan | sky-borne supply | 23 | Winged horses run ambrosia to Olympus before it cools. |
| Orchard of Hera | golden apples | 27 | Golden apples ripen on trees older than the war. |
| Hourglass of Chronos | the top of the ladder | 29 | Time itself is poured into the feast. Nothing is wasted. |
Curses, boons and chapter pacing
Thirty chapters run across four acts, and the middle of the campaign is not simply bigger numbers — each act bends the rules. Curses raise prices or trade tap power against production, so the strategy that won Act I is not the strategy that wins Act IV.
| Act | Chapters | Where you are | Rule change |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | 1–8 | The mortal hearth at Hearthfall | None. Learn the rhythm, hit your first goals. |
| II | 9–16 | The nymph groves and the satyr vineyards | Nymph's Tithe — every producer costs 12% more. |
| III | 17–24 | The forge under the mountain | Forge Heat — tap power ×1.6, but production −15%. |
| IV | 25–30 | The descent to the court of Hades | Hades' Toll — every price on the mountain rises 25%. |
Ambrosia compared with classic clicker games
If you have played a big-bakery clicker before, the loop will feel familiar and the wrapping will not. Ambrosia keeps the genre's compulsive numbers and adds a fixed-length story with real chapters, act-level rule changes and a solo-developer-sized campaign you can finish in an evening rather than a month.
| Ambrosia: Feast of Olympus | Classic idle cookie clickers | |
|---|---|---|
| Setting | Greek myth: hearth, groves, forge, Underworld | Usually a kitchen or a factory |
| Length | 30 chapters, four acts, then an endless feast | Open-ended, no story finish line |
| Difficulty | Chapter goals and act curses scale the challenge | Entirely self-imposed |
| Tap skill | Overflow momentum meter rewards fast tapping with up to ×3 | Tap power is a flat stat |
| Risk | Golden Ambrosia can help or (rarely) halve production | Golden bonuses are always positive |
| Offline | Brews at half speed for up to four hours | Varies |
Ambrosia FAQ
What is Ambrosia: Feast of Olympus?
Ambrosia: Feast of Olympus is a free online idle clicker set in Greek myth. You tap the fountain of ambrosia to brew the food of the gods, hire nymphs, satyrs and smiths to brew it for you, and work through thirty story chapters to buy Persephone's freedom from Hades.
How do I play the game?
Tap or click the fountain to brew ambrosia, then spend it in the Builders panel on producers that keep brewing while you are away. Upgrades make your taps and your producers stronger, and every chapter sets an ambrosia goal. Reach the goal to unlock the next chapter of the story.
What is Overflow?
Overflow is the fountain's momentum meter. Tap fast enough for long enough and the meter fills; while it is over the line every tap is worth up to three times as much. Stop tapping and it drains away in a second or two.
What is Golden Ambrosia?
Every minute or two a Golden Ambrosia drifts across the stage. Tap it quickly — it only lasts thirteen seconds — and you will get Frenzy (seven times production), a Lucky Ladle of instant ambrosia, a Clickstorm, a Chorus of Olympus, or occasionally a Grey Hour that halves production instead.
How long is the story?
Thirty chapters across four acts: the mortal hearth, the nymph groves, the forge of Hephaestus and the descent into the underworld. Each chapter takes a couple of minutes, and an Eternal Feast endless mode continues afterwards with ever larger targets.
Does Ambrosia work on phones and is it free?
Ambrosia: Feast of Olympus is completely free, needs no download or sign-up, and runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet and mobile with full touch support. Progress, stars, achievements and Divine Sparks are saved in your browser.
Technical notes
Ambrosia is a single self-contained web page. There are no external scripts, no fonts to
download and no network calls: the fountain, the god-rays, the stars, the votive lamps and every
sound are generated procedurally — the scene is drawn on a canvas each frame and the audio is
synthesised with the Web Audio API. Progress is stored in localStorage, so the feast
resumes where you left it, and the balance numbers (30 chapter goals and their par times) were
produced by a headless simulator that replays a strong-play policy through the whole campaign, so
every goal is beatable by construction. The layout is responsive from a 320 px phone up to a
desktop, and the tap zone works with mouse, touch, pen and the keyboard.
